The event will concentrate on 1) the particulars of our region, 2) local organizations and actors that may be beneficial to Irish companies, 3) our concierge-based approach to assisting companies looking to establish a foothold in the United States – and can include one-on-one interactions with Irish companies to see how we can address their desires, concerns, and questions directly. You will also hear from an Irish company that recently concluded a study trip to our region on their experiences and how the City of Mentor is helping them enter the US market.
The City of Mentor, a regional economic hub just 20 minutes east of Cleveland, Ohio, is home to two-hundred plus manufacturing firms, specializing in biotech/medtech, aerospace, advanced and precision manufacturing, and automotive supply chain, among other industry clusters. Mentor is also integral to the healthcare ecosystem that exists in Northeast Ohio as the home of STERIS Corporation and to a Cleveland Clinic hospital, among other healthcare assets.
For the last four years, the City of Mentor has made annual visits to Ireland to foster relationships to help companies further explore the US market. We specialize in a concierge-based approach to business relationship building and investment attraction, partnering with internationally known entities like the Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University, and companies across the region to find appropriate matchmaking opportunities for international companies and providing soft-landing experience and various incentives to companies looking to establish an American presence.
